Isaiah D. Thomas does it again! 2008
BMI Christian Award
This annual
invitation-only event will salute the songwriters and publishers
of the past year’s most
performed Christian Rock, Contemporary Christian, Inspirational,
Southern and Urban Gospel songs on U.S. radio and television.
Perennial Christian Music favorites Jars
of Clay, critically-acclaimed rising star Aaron
Shust, gospel writer, producer and Music Minister Isaiah
Thomas and southern gospel songbird TaRanda Greene
will all perform their award-winning compositions on April
19th in Nashville, TN.
This years’ event will
be hosted by Jody Williams, Vice President, Writer/Publisher
Relations, along with Senior Director, Writer/Publisher Relations
Thomas Cain, and Associate Director, Writer/Publisher Relations
Beth Mason. The
ceremony will recognize the BMI Christian Song, Songwriter
and Publisher of the Year.
With over 15 years as a noted
producer, songwriter, choir director, vocalist and clinician,
Thomas continues to make quite a mark and earn a reputable
reputation in the gospel industry.
Isaiah is a native Washingtonian
and is the Director of Music and Fine Arts
of the New Samaritan Baptist Church where Bishop Michael
V. Kelsey is the Senior Pastor.
Isaiah and his wife Shalaundia reside in Maryland
along with their three sons; Isaiah, II, Gabriel and Michael.
